I'm continuing my romance with the crock pot tomorrow by making osso bucco. Barbara used to make it and it's one of my favorites. It seems that it would be a perfect recipe for the crock pot and, in fact, there's a good one in a cookbook given me last weekend by Aunt Carole.
Eight pounds of veal shanks are resting comfortably in the pantry fridge, just itching to play their part tomorrow. Al and Jamie, Mike and Jacque will be out to help evaluate.
