Professor Bainbridge has a rant about what's happened to The Food Channel. Admittedly, I haven't watched it in a while, but apparently all the good chefs are gone and have been replaced with all Rachel Ray all the time.
I feel his pain. My favorite channel, The Weather Channel, has long since been hijacked by faux meteorologist poseurs and the clergy of The First Church of Global Warming. It's now almost impossible to find out what is happening in the sky because of all the pictures of people running around in the rain, cars skidding on ice, home improvement tips and health tips from a "Dr. Anna Marie" who never identifies exactly what she's supposed to be a doctor of.
Hang in there professor: maybe someday The Food Channel will bring back chefs and The Weather Channel will bring back meteorologists. We can always hope...
